welcome

i2i is all things asian & queer.
Activism:
We march in lgbt parades, asian pacific islander (api) parades, and add our voice to protest homophobia. And host retreats and workshops allowing members to explore at a deeper level topics that can empower...such as anti-oppression methods, group dynamics, and year-long event planning.
Culture:
We have open mike nights where members can read their creative writing in a safe, public setting.  We sponsor films at the REELING festival and watch emerging asian american comics at STIR FRIDAY NIGHT.  We go to museums, book signings, concerts, & amusement parks.  We've learned how to make sushi and how to construct protest banners.
Community:
We organize regular monthly socials where we break bread together at various venues. We also create unique programs like "The Story of My Heart,"  "Movie Night at Kevin's" and "Life Journeys" which boast 15-25 attendees. And our Core Group is open to members who want to get more involved in making a difference and developing new programs and policies.

5th ANNIVERSARY
GALA

Thank to NQAPIA and many from i2i
that made the event a success!
  150 guests attended.
It was great to see and exchange ideas with many other queer Asian +South Asian American activists from across the country. It's the first major event by i2i. It put our organization on center stage, which comes with many more responsibilities.
I hope many of you will continue
to step up and help us with many programs!
